What is Big Brothers Big Sisters and our History
Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Central Wisconsin, a premier mentoring program, matches children from single-parent homes with dedicated volunteers since the 1970s. Research proves one-on-one mentoring enhances self-esteem, communication skills, and academic performance while reducing truancy and substance abuse.
Activities range from sports to crafts, fostering lasting connections. Lunch Buddies Mentoring Programs extend support to over 20 area schools, offering students weekly bonding sessions with volunteers during lunch hours. Volunteers include professionals, college students, retirees, and stay-at-home individuals. Serving Dodge, Jefferson, Rock, and Walworth counties, we strive to transform lives and enrich communities. Join us in shaping brighter futures!
